I conducted two evaluations for a UK network of campaigners and practitioners, New Economy Organisers Network. The evaluations were for two of their programmes which build the knowledge and skills of practitioners to be able to run effective organisations and contribute towards developing a highly effective social movement.
Gathering and interpreting data
The evaluations included reviewing programme documentation, evaluation forms and ad-hoc data collected by those administering the activities. For one of the evaluations, I conducted additional interviews with participants, via telephone, to find out more about their experience of coaching and how they had applied the learning.
Short and informative summaries
The resulting analysis was used to inform two short evaluation reports for funders and partners. The reports provided an overview of the main findings from each programme: how effective the activities were in developing the knowledge and skills of participants; how this was used within their organisations; and a review of the effectiveness of the design of the programme.
